Two more days of February.  Spring is almost here.  It's about time.  I can't wait to go sit outside and get hot.  Stick around people, pretty soon you'll hear me complaining about heat and humidity.  Oh, and tornadoes.  I guess nobody promised me a rose garden.

My entertainment will be traffic watching.  We live in a new development in a small town.  Our house is actually the most recent to be built and is located at the top of a "T" intersection.  There's a street that goes east and west and another comes from the south.  We have a fair amount of traffic on our street because there's a day care center across the street and a country club down the street.  So the town decided to make this a three way stop.   Well, people don't even see those stop signs.  They just breeze right thru them.  Some people slow down and roll thru them, but very few people stop.  If the town cop were to set up in our  driveway, he could make enough money in tickets to pay any debt the town has within the first week.  If he kept coming at random times, we could start some kind of urban renewal, bring in some big businesses, maybe locate a federal prison here  Sadly, by my count, nobody has been ticketed for running a stop sign.

We're still working on purse charms and lanyards.  The latest:

Sometimes you suggest something, and then you give a gentle reminder to do it, and finally you are forced to "order" it done.  Do you have kids?  Do they ever accuse you of yelling at them when you have asked them in a carefully modulated voice to do something?  I rest my case.

We have started our Facebook group.  We're going to be selling our books, beaded lanyards and purse charms there, as well as on EBAY and Etsy.  I'd like to create a big following there and here.

I don't know if I mentioned that I make paper bag books that are unique.  I have one right now that would be a perfect gift for a mother- in-law.  I'll post some photos of it.  It has places to put photos,  poems, and pockets for memorabilia.

Monday, February 19, 2018

I have been instructed (ordered) to write something.  So I will take a break from weather-watching to write.  We had ice last night and are supposed to get snow tonight, which makes driving fun, but if you live in the midwest, this is no big deal, as opposed to places in the south that would have to shut down for a week.
I'm working on a new altered book and trying to do some new things.  One thing I have learned is that I need to remove a lot more pages.  Oh, and I got a gelli plate, but haven't experimented much with it yet.  We also bought more beads because you can never have too many beads.  And I've been trying to learn how to make tassels.  Maybe I have to many irons in the fire.  Ok, back to the weather.

Another day, another lanyard.  I am enjoying the heck out of these lanyards.  This one I made.  Except for the part where I made a deal with Sue that if she did the small beads, I would watch her.

Am I right?  Isn't that beautiful?

Let's see, what else is going on?   Nothing really.  Just the beading and Sue just finished making another book.  I'm not sure if she's going to list on EBAY or ETSY, but one or the other.

Does anybody's PC have autocorrect?  As much as I complain about it on my phone and my IPAD when it tries to guess what I want to say and is wrong, it makes things so much easier when it's right.  And at least when it does it wrong, it does it hilariously wrong.  Oh, well,  more later....

A new day, a new snowstorm.  This one was just three or four inches.  February is more than one-sixth over.  Spring is coming!

Sue made another lanyard.  This one is gorgeous, as was the first one which has already sold, by the way.  It is listed on EBAY for a starting bid of !5.99.  Just enter SANDYVINT in advanced search to find our items.  Check out SFG71 for more items.  Sue has really been working hard on the journals.  Here's the lanyard:

Wow, a week has gone by.  As I get older, my life just goes by faster and faster.  So if anybody is reading this, take note.  Don't be wishing you were older you will be soon enough and then poof.  It'll fly by.

I had eye surgery Monday.  I had that extra skin taken off my eyeilds because it was affecting my peripheral vision.  Now everything is blurry.  I hope that clears up pretty soon.

Sue and I have branched out t making beaded lanyards.  Here"s an example.  This one was $15.00

well, more later, i'm going to go play in some beads.
